The Branch of the Northern Sea Route Administration will be opened in Arkhangelsk in May

The press service of the Government of the Arkhangelsk region informs that the Branch of the Northern Sea Route Administration in Arkhangelsk will be opened in May. The agreement was reached at the extended board meeting of the Ministry of Transport of Russia. The leaders of the Ministry of Transport of Russia and the Aide to the Presidentof the Russian Federation Igor Levitin plan to participate at the opening ceremony.

Recall that according to the plans the Northern Sea Route Administrationwill be located in two offices: in Arkhangelsk and Moscow. The competence of the Arkhangelsk staff is expected to include practical issues, such as coordination of work with the Roshydromet(Russian Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring), the use of polar aviation. The functions of the capital's office will include treating the work permits.
