In April 2013 came into force the new Rules for navigation along the NSR and the newly established NSR Administration started its work. By May 23, were received 47 applications, issued 21 permits, 11 refusals, 15 applications are pending under the established by Rules terms for timing.
On the web site of the Administration is published the official information from Roshydromet concerning the expected types of ice conditions for the first half of 2013 navigation year. In the period from June to August are expected to be light and medium ice sailing conditions.

Recall that according to the Rules, the Permit contains information about the need for icebreaking in different types of ice conditions, indicating areas of the NSR and the navigation period.
On the web site of the Administration is also posted information, that the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Atomflot" and OOO вЂњIce PilotsвЂќ are organizations which can provide ice pilot services.
