The first ships on the NSR in the navigation year 2013.

Tankers of Murmansk Shipping Company opened navigation on the NSR. The vessels entered the NSR waters on June 27. Estimated time of arrival in Pevekis July 8. Icebreaker support is provided by the icebreaker Vaygach.
Transportation is carried out within the framework of the implementation of the State’s plan to ensure the regions of the Far North national economic goods. Each ship will deliver to the port Pevek 13.5 thousand tons of diesel fuel. Loading was performed on the harbor transshipment complex RPK-1 in the Kola Bay with storage tanker "Natalie" class Suezmax.
During the current navigation by vessels of the Murmansk Shipping Company will be transported about 80 thousand tons of cargo for the needs of the Chukotka Autonomous District.
