The Russian Government has authorized the entry of foreign vessels into the sea port Sabetta. The corresponding order was signed by the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
The document is published on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Construction of the port of Sabetta began in July 2012 in the framework of the project "Yamal LNG". It is expected that Sabetta would become one of the largest ports in the Arctic. When completed, scheduled for the year 2016, the port will be able to handle about 30 million tons of cargo per year and will be operated all year round.
