New tug for port services in Sabetta

On 19th April, after successful completion of sea trials, the tug “Pur” (belonged to Rosatomflot) left Novorossiysk and set a course to port of registration Murmansk. The vessel was constructed in Krasnodar Krai as a part of the project “Portoflot”. The tug is aimed to provide services in Sabetta port.

“We are expecting that the tug will come to the base of Nuclear Icebreaker fleet up to 15th May. “Pur” is the first vessel constructed as the part of “Portoflot” project. We got the icebreaking tug ahead of schedule in 1,5 month”, Chief Engineer of FSUE “Atomflot” Mustafa Kashka reported.

The tug of ice class Arc4 has capacity of 3,84 megawatt. Speed in open water – 14,4 knots. Min draft – 4,93 m, length – 30,87 m, width – 11,2 m. Crew number – 10 people.

On 26th February tug with ice class “Tambei” was launched in Krasnodar Krai. Its arrival in Murmansk planned at the end of May 2016. Under the contract terms, the vessels for work in Sabetta port are to be put in operation on 31th May 2016.

The “Portoflot” project supposes construction and usage of 3 tugs with ice class, 1 port icebreaker and 1 icebreaking tug. The contract with Yamal LNG for “Portoflot” effects from 2014 to 2040.
