Nuclear lighter carrier “Sevmorput” came back from Franz Josef Land

On November 6, the nuclear lighter containership “Sevmorput” moored at Atomflot berth. The crew of the unique vessel with nuclear power plant finished the voyage to Franz Josef Land archipelago.

On October 6, the nuclear lighter carrier “Sevmorput” left Murmansk register port. The ship delivered about 6,5 th tons of cargo to the archipelago: concrete plates and general cargo.

Unloading on the Franz Josef Land was done with the help of shipboard cargo equipment.

– The nuclear light carrier delivered 312 tons of cargo to Murmansk: scrap, containers and mobile cranes, said the captain of “Sevmorput” Farid Gabbasov. – Unloading will be done at Atomflot base.

After the unloading finish, the vessel will have further equipping.
