Rosatom starts to create Unified platform for digital services for the Northern Sea Route
As the NSR Directorate noted, the Platform will be designed for up to 1,5 thousand users.
Rosatom has completed the development of the concept and has started to create the Unified platform for digital services for the Northern Sea Route. This was reported to TASS on Wednesday by the Directorate of the Northern Sea Route of Rosatom, noting that the Platform will be created and implemented by the second quarter of 2025.
“The concept formed the basis of the technical specifications for the development of the Platform. The design of the first stage of the platform has begun. Rosatom should implement the entire project by the second quarter of 2025, “said Maxim Kulinko, Deputy Director of the NSR Directorate of Rosatom.
The concept provides for the integration of various digital products and databases created to ensure the safety of navigation and traffic control of the fleet in the water area of the Northern Sea Route. As the Directorate of the NSR noted, the platform will be designed to serve up to 1,5 thousand unique users. They will be provided with 27 digital services, formed in nine blocks regarding the areas of safety of navigation; shipping management; navigation and hydrographic support; hydrometeorological support and ice conditions; analytical information about safety, efficiency of functioning and development of the NSR; infrastructure management of the NSR; information support of cargo transportation; register of services and facilities in the water area of the NSR; environmental monitoring of the NSR water area. It is planned to implement a one-stop function for the convenience of users.
The creation of the Platform is envisaged in the Unified plan for the implementation of the principles of state policy of the Russian Federation ain the Arctic for the period up to 2035 and the strategy for the development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation and ensuring national security for the period up to 2035.
